What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Coordinate all reporting and returns required to maintain compliance of interstate tractor and trailer fleets
  • Research and review regulatory issues with regard to all U.S. states and Canadian provinces; communicate changes in these requirements to Service Center Managers
  • Gather and analyze mileage data to prepare/file Federal Heavy Vehicle Use tax returns and interstate fleet filings
  • Mentor teammates in project management, problem resolution and communication with field and regulatory agencies
  • Assist in developing training procedures and train department employees
  • Communicate effectively with members of law enforcement or regulatory agencies about complex issues regarding licensing
  • Assist manager in developing and monitoring controls to ensure data and procedures relied on for fleet compliance
  • Reconcile and monitor accounts reflecting fleet licensing prepaids

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field
  • 2 years of experience
  • Excellent ability to research regulatory requirements and apply toward company operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize work flow and coordinate efforts of a team to achieve goals
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive materials and information
