As the Systems Analyst, you will support the customer process for information systems and develop, test and document application projects, application support and enhancement requests. You will serve as the liaison between Operations and IT maintaining the relationship and ensuring clear communication/alignment between the teams. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Write specifications for new developments and system enhancements
  • Analyze client requirements, determine fit and customizations, develop proposals and develop supporting data for cost estimates, and present XPO’s capabilities and solution to client prospects
  • Support project manager for system implementations and upgrades, and provide ongoing support
  • Support implementations by developing documented implementation plans, configuring systems, training users and providing post-implementation support
  • Develop detailed functional specifications for modifications, defect corrections, enhancements and user documentation
  • Perform process and data modeling
  • Perform integrated quality assurance testing on system changes before they are released to key users

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of experience with systems development and implementation
  • Implementation and support experience with web-based applications such as, EXceed. 4000, order management applications, LPS 2000, ConnectShip ChainLink., i2s transportation suite or Logility Voyager, etc.
  • Experience with formal project management practices
  • Experience in at least one of the following business disciplines: supply chain management, warehousing, transportation or distribution
  • Knowledge of formal systems development methodologies
  • Understanding of current information systems technologies such as client/server, relational databases, web-based systems and object-oriented design
