What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Meet established acceptable time lines for completion
  • Chart and monitor progress toward product completion for each component
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the delivery of the agreed-upon rollout plan
  • Gather and document feedback from end users on the products and recommend improvements; participate in product documentation, release notes and training documentation
  • Coordinate development and testing with the Development and Quality Assurance (QA) teams
  • Design web, desktop and reporting interfaces
  • Develop wireframes, mock-ups and user stories
  • Document data mapping among multiple applications
  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales and other departments to ensure that customer requirements are met and to close any potential gaps

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3 years of experience designing web software products and designing and optimizing business processes
  • 3 years of experience gathering business requirements and documenting in an agile environment
  • Basic experience with wireframing tools such as Omnigraffle, Balsamiq or similar
  • Proven track record of progressive experience, preferably in software development and product management
  • Some understanding of business process design and optimization such as order-to-cash
  • Freight brokerage or logistics experience

It’d be great if you also have:

  • MBA
  • Computer Science or similar Engineering degree
  • Ability to travel between our U.S. and Canadian offices 25% of the time
  • Business analyst experience
  • Management consulting experience
  • Experience as a programmer and/or scrum master
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to prioritize work and deliver results
  • Excellent communication skills with both application engineers and business users
