What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Collaborate on an innovation team building disruptive, industry-changing applications for the 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) industry
  • Design and develop innovative proofs-of-concept or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) using technologies like augmented reality (Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses), virtual reality (HTC Vive and Oculus Go), robotics, drones, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to enhance operations throughout the organization
  • Seek out, learn about, and apply complex and cutting-edge technologies and products to our business in a creative and fluid environment
  • Analyze, evaluate, and develop emerging technologies

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Background or education in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 2 years of software development or related experience
  • API and SDK experience
  • C# and .NET or Java
  • Working understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working on developing robotics, augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, or machine learning applications
  • Android development or Android Studio experience
  • Unity VR rendering experience
  • Experience with JavaScript framework (React/Redux and/or Angular) and SQL
  • Aptitude to independently learn and integrate new languages and technologies
  • Track record of pursuing self-directed research or projects; ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment with limited control/supervision
