As the Senior Director, Human Resources you will ensure the execution of HR policies and strategic initiatives supporting a high performing Sales organization, assist Executive level leaders and their teams and employees with day-to-day HR activities and compliance, and work with leadership to ensure HR programs and initiatives are enhancing the delivery of business results. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Drive an overarching strategy for how to incent, develop and measure a world class sales organization
  • Develop, implement and evaluate all HR programs and supporting systems to ensure an integrated approach to all HR practices, policies and procedures
  • Partner with the Sales leaders and compensation team to design and deliver variable compensation and incentive programs
  • Provide input to the talent team in developing strategic workforce plans, and the recruitment and retention strategies to meet the needs of the business; support selection activities for all hourly and salaried positions, and participate in developing and implementing valid selection tools
  • Design and develop effective succession planning process to ensure management and professional readiness to meet the growth plans of the business
  • Enforce a performance-driven culture by developing and implementing consistent performance management coaching and counseling techniques
  • Partner with the training team to identify and execute relative training initiatives; ensure availability of training and development opportunities and funding for staff

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certifications
  • 7 years of relevant HR experience supporting a Sales function ideally within a large, complex organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS tools; ability to create complex formulas in Excel and quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends; occasional travel

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment
  • Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of the results; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
