As the Senior Analyst, Financial Analysis, you’ll be responsible for reducing purchased transportation expense by identifying trends in spending and making recommendations to the business that will reduce spend and supplemental payments. You’ll also generate BI tools that will provide enhanced visibility into carrier spend. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead development of visibility tools and diagnostic reporting that highlights important trends in XPO Purchased Transportation Expense
  • Make recommendations to Directors, and RVPs on routing and other tactics that could drive savings in given markets
  • Work with Market Directors and RVPs to establish goals on route and per stop costs
  • Develop standardized programs such as fuel to drive simplifications and savings back to XPO
  • Support weekly dashboards including carrier settlements and labor
  • Support carrier settlement payment process

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 2 years of experience managing complex data sets
  • Strong Fluency level user of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs

It’d be great if you also have:

  • 3 years of experience in transportation industry
  • Demonstrated group presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively on a cross-functional basis within the organization
  • Strong aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources
