As the Senior Manager, Technology, you’ll be responsible to lead and execute digital and product development strategy and vision. This role will need to be accomplished at relationship building and gaining support at all levels. You’ll establish and set short and long-range objectives, set strategy for the function, gain buy-in of the various stakeholders, and establish the criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead digital and product development teams to support the Express Business Unit
  • Develop strategy for several products, engaging customers and consumers, focusing on data, digital and API’s
  • Develop and deliver new “best in class” DMS (Delivery Management System) product
  • Integrate and collaborate with other business units to provide comprehensive delivery solutions to our common customers
  • Coordinate with various teams, including Sales, Business & other IT teams, to assess severity and priority of work requests
  • Grow and manage a team that is composed of both onshore and offshore resources
  • Manage the planning and execution of initiatives, including managing all associated resources, to meet committed delivery dates
  • Drive continuous improvement of the change control process, including modifying policies and procedures as needed

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years leadership experience delivering transformational solutions and large scale technology platforms with a focus product development
  • Strong knowledge of requirements gathering, system testing, software quality assurance and scope control best practices and methodologies

It’d be great if you also have:

  • M.S. in Computer Science, Analytics, Math, Computer Science or related field
  • 15 years of global leadership experience delivering transformational solutions and large scale technology platforms
  • 15 strong years of transportation experience
  • 10 years of experience working with Clients and Operations and in in managing large Transportation Management software
  • 3 years of management experience or the proven ability to lead a team
  • Strong experience in multiple software environments management
  • Strong expertise in agile project methodology
