As the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, you’ll be responsible for supervising the activities of the Accounts Payable team. You’ll be the onshore liaison between XPO business units and our offshore BPO. We are seeking a hands-on leader performing AP activities and leadership responsibilities, including mentoring, coaching and developing team members.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Uses best practices to improve processes across Accounts Payable process stream.
  • Drives leadership from within the team to improve the efficiency of the accounts payable function with the prioritization of departmental timelines and duties
  • Ability to undertake a leadership role in bringing various cross-facility issues to conclusion and implement standardized Accounts Payable procedures and processes
  • Maintains a strong understanding of processes and systems to be able to influence outside departments on best practices
  • Use AP expertise to identify root cause; document and implement process to diminish future occurrences
  • Trains offshore team on established processes to mitigate root cause
  • Monitors daily metrics and Key Performance Indicators to ensure Service Level Agreements are met and/or exceeded
  • Oversee wire and ACH process ensuring standard processes are adhered across the organization
  • Provide backup assistance to onshore Analyst, Supervisors with reporting and system administration
  • Facilitating governance and stakeholder meetings to provide critical and routine updates.
  • Manage Onshore projects as needed
  • Holds accountability for the work of the Accounts Payable staff including training and ensuring company policies are followed

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • Advanced Excel skills - Generating and manipulating large sets of data for reports
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards

It’d be great if you also have:

  • 2 years of leadership/managerial experience and experience managing large volume AR transactions
  • Working experience and technical knowledge of various Oracle and/or SAP Accounts Payable related system and required interfaces
