If you have experience working with cars and a good mechanical aptitude, our Technician Apprentice Program will teach you how to work on a variety of equipment while preparing you to be a technician for Class A vehicles. The program is taught by experienced mechanics and technicians and has clear steps, milestones and opportunities for pay raises as you progress. You’ll start out working with trailer technicians to learn about electrical connections, air brakes and more. You’ll progress to working on forklifts and learning about smaller engines by working with transmissions, hydraulics and control valves. When you complete the program, you’ll be a technician with experience running diagnostics, fixing truck engines and repairing equipment in our terminals.

As the trailer technician, you’ll need strong technical and diagnostic abilities, a desire to take on challenges and a willingness to be a team player dedicated to exceptional customer service. You’ll perform maintenance and adjust trailing equipment, as well as repair or rebuild equipment systems related to trailers. Our trailer technicians are critical to our success with their vital responsibilities of providing safe equipment for our drivers and reliable transportation for customer products.

As a technician, we’ll count on your expertise to rebuild and repair our equipment, conduct safety inspections and diagnose issues on all types of class 7 and class 8 diesel equipment, forklifts and trailing equipment. XPO is a certified Freightliner® dealership, so you’ll help us maintain and repair our fleet.
