What you’ll need to succeed as an Analyst, Transportation at XPO
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, related work, or military experience
- 1 year of experience in maintenance, logistics, operations management, or a related field
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in finance, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivots, etc.) and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for the intended audience

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Report on financial and statistical data for fleet maintenance to executive management
- Perform variance analysis on actual vs. budget and forecast, driving down to the root cause to explain results and the reasons behind them to recommend possible solutions to improve
- Utilize input from process owners, metrics and historical financial data to develop forecasts and budgets; develop and improve forecasting and budgeting models
- Ensure the output of centralized processes meets solution design specifications and customer requirements
- Manage telematics and mobile handheld assets with various supporting vendors
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators and execute root cause analysis when needed for maintenance
- Initiate maintenance rollouts, provide continuous process improvement activities, and monitor results for system telematics and mobile handhelds
- Provide all support function activities, including managing regional information through presentations with senior leadership, MPG initiatives and coaching, and more
- Work with both internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the field to resolve problems from root cause analysis
