What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Analyst, Commercial Strategy at XPO
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 2 years of professional experience in quantitative analysis
- Demonstrate ability to derive insight from data, formulate solutions and drive action
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of a large organization
- Able to use, evaluate and contribute to computer-generated decision-support models
- Experience with data mining using business intelligence software
- Expert at designing and/or improving pricing-related processes within the company to drive financial results
- Able to collaborate with the Pricing team leadership to establish and implement a pricing strategy and tactical plan
- Able to do critical evaluation and review processes, make recommendations, influence the outcome of a decision, improve processes and take ownership of the results
- Expert at data analysis based on input from several departments and data sources, including Sales, Pricing, Linehaul, Operations, etc. and GBQ and Looker
- Able to demonstrate leadership to drive results. Self-driven and taking ownership over workload with minimal management support
- Expert at collaboration with leaders across the organization (i.e. pricing, sales, operations) to establish and implement a pricing strategy and tactical plan
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics or Mathematics
- Master’s degree
- 5 years of professional experience in quantitative analysis and Less Than Truckload (LTL) pricing/cost modeling
- Project Management experience
- Experience with SQL
- Working knowledge of statistics and statistical packages in Python, R or similar programming languages
- Highly organized work style with proven ability to multitask

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Assist in the development and implementation of Commercial Strategies for the Pricing Organization
- Proactively formulate new commercial and pricing initiatives to drive company results
- Coordinate cross-functionally to develop tools and establish best practices
- Support the Pricing Organization with advanced analytical processes and models
- Execute, evaluate and report the success of various initiatives to the senior leadership team
- Conduct analyses under different pricing scenarios to compare net results
- Conduct Root Cause analysis
