What you’ll need to succeed as a Tech Program Intern III (Full Stack Engineering) at XPO:
Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- 2 or more years of relevant undergraduate coursework
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Preferred qualifications:
- Class status as a junior (3rd year) or greater
- Development experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Java, C#, C++, etc.
- Development experience with at least one JavaScript framework (Angular, React, etc.)
- Experience in web, mobile, and responsive design
- Solid technical competency in coding and testing; good object-oriented programming language skills
- A portfolio that reflects intuitive, functional, and original design
- Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed
- Ability to be open-minded and receptive to feedback in an intellectually rigorous environment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Great verbal and written communication skills
About the Tech Program Intern III (Full Stack Engineering) job
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Participate in 12-week program where you will gain exposure to specific stages of development such as front-end, back-end, deployment, and more.
- Collaborate with a fast-paced, extremely talented team that values collaboration and delivers high-quality results
- Develop software using technologies such as Angular 10+, C#, .NET core, Java, Katlin, Typescript, HTML, CSS, Kafka and more
- Act as a catalyst to building frameworks and supporting application infrastructure
- Work as an active member of a tech team in the development and support of complex distributed systems
- Apply best coding practices and standards
- Support the development of APIs to support web applications
- Work in an agile start-up environment with daily standups and continuous integration
