We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation. This 10 to 12-week internship program will take place in one of multiple locations.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Design and deliver user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Enable product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and testing experiences for digital products
- Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions for use within XPO’s B2B environment.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs based on internal customer insights, technical constraints, and business requirements.
- Ask questions, take risks, and champion new ideas to broaden your understanding of XPO’s product ecosystem and opportunities for enhancement.
- Showcase your knowledge of the industry's latest trends and technologies
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- To be pursuing a BS/BA, MS, or PhD in a UX-related field (i.e., User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Media Arts & Sciences, etc.)
- 2 or more years of relevant coursework
It’d be great if you also have:
- Class status as a junior (3rd year) or greater
- Basic knowledge of UX or design software such as Figma, Axure, Sketch, etc.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of UX Design best practices to design solutions
- A passion for all things UX and other areas of design and innovation; empathy for user pain points and affinity for finding solutions
- Knowledgeable about new technologies and products with the willingness to continue learning.
- Ability to be open-minded and receptive to feedback in an intellectually rigorous environment
- Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Great verbal and written communication skills
