Job Summary 

The WMS Lead will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Warehouse Management System. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the field of IT, with a strong background in Blue Yonder implementation, and a good level of proficiency in the English language. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. 

The WMS Lead will report to the IT Director for the Region but she/he will have a dotted line into the Contract Logistics Manager.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Warehouse Management System, including planning, configuration, testing, and deployment. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop detailed project plans. 

  • Manage and optimize the WMS to ensure efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with IT and operations teams to ensure minimal disruption to warehouse activities. 

  • Conduct regular system audits and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. 

  • Provide training and support to warehouse staff and other users to ensure effective use of the WMS. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in WMS technology to recommend and implement best practices. 

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, and training materials. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices related to warehouse operations and WMS. 

Requirements & Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

  • Over 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on Warehouse Management Systems. 

  • Experience with Blue Yonder implementation  

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing WMS solutions in a warehouse environment. 

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes. 

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Proficiency in WMS software and related technologies. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset. 

  • Good level of proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
