What you’ll need to succeed as a Lead, Instructional Designer at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of experience in instructional design and development within a corporate or enterprise learning environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex learning programs from intake through launch.
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise) and collaboration platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design best practices.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design and development within a corporate or enterprise learning environment.
  • Experience designing learning for frontline, operational, or large-scale employee populations.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into effective learning solutions.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead endtoend instructional design and content development for complex training solutions across virtual, inperson, and selfpaced modalities
  • Utilize authoring tools, including Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, etc. To develop engaging and interactive learner-centered training
  • Partner with business stakeholders and SMEs to translate needs into clear learning objectives and design direction
  • Provide daily direction, review, and feedback to an offshore instructional design/content development team
  • Ensure learning assets meet quality, consistency, accessibility, and adult learning standards
  • Balance multiple projects, timelines, and priorities in partnership ensuring on time delivery
  • Continuously improve learning solutions based on feedback, outcomes, and business needs, proactively enhancing training and elevating the bar of design standards
