As the Lead UX Designer, Technology, you will influence the overall product strategy, as well as take ownership of the user experience throughout. We will equip you with the best tools in the industry to grow and develop to a level that will exceed your expectations.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Create a strategy that brings together platforms and products to build a holistic customer experience
  • Diagnose end to end customer journeys and identify opportunities and desired future state experience
  • Establish and track to relevant experience benchmarks and KPIs to specific inflection points in the customer journey
  • Prioritize time and needs to meet project/imitative goals and deadlines
  • Promote and evangelize established design thinking practices in the organization by leading design sprint workshop or JAM sessions
  • Partner with diverse cross functional teams including IT managers and users to identify high priority opportunities to drive changes that have maximum impact on our applications
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates
  • Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements
  • Formulate and conduct usability research studies, surveys, and customer interviews with individuals or groups to identify friction in existing or concept experiences
  • Persuasively convey solutions to customers, the executive team, product owners, developers, and other internal stakeholders
  • Mentor a small team of UX designers. 

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 4 years of UX design experience designing and developing complex enterprise solutions - workshop facilitation, identifying customer problem statements, problem discovery, solution generation, concept creation, wireframing, testing, synthesis, iteration, prototyping, heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis, customer journey mapping, applying design systems and producing deliverables for development.
  • Early UX discovery and usability testing experience

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Master’s degree in information technology or similar field
  • Experience leading delivery through workshops, feedback, and design critique; presentation to program sponsors, planning and coordinating with internal partners
  • Nelson Norman’s UX Master Certification and/ or Google Analytics Certification
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Axure and Sketch
  • B2B and B2C product design experience in lean UX environment and agile/scrum development cycle
  • Experienced with design within the logistics/supply chain/transportation ecosystem.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, rapid prototyping skills, and passion for simplicity
  • Understanding of how platforms work together to create a consistent and progressive omnichannel experience across customer facing products
  • Strong understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Material Design System and Design System
