As an Internal Audit IT Manager, you will partner with internal audit leadership to lead audits and oversee special projects across the technology space.  You’ll also evaluate internal controls and provide solutions to improve risk management, control and governance processes to assist XPO in accomplishing objectives for business efficiency, cost reduction and protection of shareholder interests.  These responsibilities will be executed throughout the entirety of our business.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • A key dimension of this role will be to collaborate with internal audit leadership to manage the information technology audit process, including risk assessment, planning, audit execution and reporting results
  • Collaborating with technology leadership to identify and evaluate risks and drive risk-based audit approach
  • Identifying systemic root causes audit over audit to assist the BU with end-to-end remediation and strategic adjustment
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned audits and related activities, including staffing, scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the plan
  • Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
  • Manage and monitor the progress of the audit engagement, prioritize the workload of the audit team, and identify/escalate any necessary changes to the audit as the engagement progresses
  • Scope and deliver risk-based audits, including communicating findings with clients in a clear and timely manner; writing audit reports that are meaningful and comprehensive (yet easy to understand); working with management to develop action plans to remediate findings and address areas for improvement; and track corrective actions through to completion

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business, or applicable field
  • 5 years of risk-based auditing or consulting, combination of public and private preferred

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Knowledge of IT Operational Functions including IAM, Asset Management, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy
  • Self-motivated with the ability to assess and determine risk, reason logically, analyze and evaluate data and information, and draw appropriate conclusions
  • Understanding of regulatory and external requirements as they relate to IT, privacy and cybersecurity for regulations such as GDPR, NERC-CIP and SOX
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio; knowledge of Access, ACL, SAP, Oracle, Visual Basic
