What you’ll need to succeed as a Senior Recruiter at XPO
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 2 years of experience with full life cycle recruiting
- 2 years of experience with a leading applicant tracking system (Workday, Taleo, iCIMS, SuccessFactors, etc.)
Preferred qualifications:
- 7 years of experience with full life cycle recruiting with both a high volume hourly roles and with a high variety of types of salaried roles
- 5 years of experience with a leading applicant tracking system
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced internet searching, researching candidates and cold calling
- Exceptional communication skills and highly organized work style; proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment
- Experience building strong customer relationships and supporting large, matrixed teams across multiple time zones and verticals
- Confidence advising senior leaders and navigating ambiguity with professionalismA solutions-oriented work style with solid problem-solving and follow-up skills
- Experience managing search firms and working with outside vendors
- Experience recruiting in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or other operationally intensive industries

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Partner with senior leaders to understand hiring needs, develop recruiting strategies, and guide the interview and selection process
- Provide market insights, talent trends, and best‑practice recommendations during regular business partner meetings
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, social media, cold outreach, job fairs, and industry events
- Drive an efficient and positive hiring process by coordinating interviews, managing logistics, and ensuring clear communication with candidates and hiring teams
- Lead the offer process, including compensation recommendations, offer letter creation, and negotiation guidance
- Maintain accurate and compliant data within the applicant tracking system
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and uphold XPO’s employer brand
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to recruiting processes, technology optimization, and other projects on an as needed basis
