Tax Analyst - Hybrid

What you’ll need to succeed as a Tax Analyst at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 1 year of related federal tax and/or state tax experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation
• CPA
• Experience with Alteryx software
• Experience with Oracle and HFM
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• International tax experience is a plus

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, estimates, provisions and planning
• Assist with process improvements about the tax return process, such as work papers and procedures required for tax returns
• Maintain and monitor tax books for fixed assets, including book/tax difference and deferred tax calculations and analysis
• Assist with targeted international tax processes and tasks, including compliance-related matters
• Maintain accuracy and completeness for all tax general ledger accounts
• Collaborate with the tax team to create reports and work on special projects for upper management in areas, such as effective tax rate, cash taxes, etc.
• Research various domestic tax issues as needed
