As the Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will help plan, write, develop, design, and execute internal communications for employees in North America, ensuring they are well informed of company news and events and are invested in the organization's vision and values. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Plan, write and coordinate communications to support internal programs, projects and initiatives
  • Counsel business and functional leaders in the researching and writing of communication plans and materials that include videos, social media posts, presentations, talking points, posters, digital signage, and promotional materials
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, proofing, quality assurance and coordinating with internal stakeholders and outside vendors
  • Use feedback and survey information to evaluate communication activities and recommend new approaches for internal communications
  • Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of communications resources, including printed collateral, training materials, newsletters, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Resolve issues, identify alternatives, and make appropriate recommendations to ensure project success
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and adherence to XPO brand standards

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of communications experience in an agency or corporate setting
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strategic mindset with a strong attention to detail, sense of urgency and can-do attitude
  • Project management skills

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field
  • Experience working with outside vendors
  • Graphic design, photography, and videography capabilities
  • Experience communicating with employees at all levels
  • Experience facilitating town hall meetings and management calls online or in person
  • Familiarity with both electronic and print media, with an aptitude for electronic media
