What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and manage the Salesforce.com implementation and enhancement projects from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts or team members, sharing best practices and knowledge in Salesforce.com configuration and customization.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the Salesforce platform and propose new features or enhancements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into functional specifications and technical designs.
- Design and configure Salesforce.com solutions, including custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, page layouts, and security settings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as developers, administrators, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth implementation and integration of Salesforce.com with other systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce.com releases, features, and best practices, and assess their potential impact on the organization's Salesforce.com instance.
- Support troubleshooting and issue resolution related to Salesforce.com functionalities, configurations, and integrations.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify and address any security or compliance risks in Salesforce.com.
- Collaborate with Salesforce.com administrators and developers to ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of the Salesforce.com platform.
- Ensure high-quality code through best practices, code reviews, and testing.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems or a related field or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5-7 years of direct experience as a Salesforce.com Lead developer role or in a similar role.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce.com platform capabilities and features, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Community Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce.com integrations with other systems, such as TMS System, marketing automation, or customer support platforms.
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com declarative tools, such as Process Builder, Flow Builder, and Lightning App Builder
- Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Component development
- Salesforce.com certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Certified Sales/Service Cloud Consultant, are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of best practices in Salesforce.com implementation, data governance, and security.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, developers, and administrators.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies for project delivery.
