As the Freight Operations Lead, your attention to the small details and strong work ethic will ensure our operations continue to run smoothly and that our customers receive superior service. You will be coordinating transportation needs and demands to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments under the direction of freight operations managements.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Oversee and execute prompt and proper movement of shipments.
- Tracking and correcting shipping errors
- Serve as teams primary contact for routine or more non-routine escalated issues.
- Works with appropriate departments on resolving escalated issues posed by team members, management, and customers.
- Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
- Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time.
- Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
- Adhere to world-class quality standards of performance and oversee adherence to processes to meet quality expectations and goals.
- Provide thoughtful feedback analysis, operational monitoring, troubleshooting and error solution to prevent inaccuracies and drive process excellence.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 4 years of LTL, supply chain, warehouse or similar logistics experience.
- Experience documenting classification corrections.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
It’d be great if you also have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with weights and inspections
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
This job requires the ability to:
- Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 50 lbs. occasionally)
- Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
- Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
