What you’ll do on a typical day:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate requirements into reporting solutions.

Generate and deliver standard reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring key stakeholders have consistent visibility into reporting data.

Adapt reports and adjust production frequency as required to meet the evolving needs of financial shared services.

Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reports, dashboards, and scorecards to monitor performance for financial shared services, ensuring they align with evolving business needs.

Continuously seek to implement best practices for report reproducibility and establish an effective process/system(s) for notifying the management team of any production failures, facilitating timely remediation.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards by implementing and maintaining data governance practices to uphold integrity and compliance.

Track and report progress on report completion to management.
Automation and Process Efficiency – 15%

Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

Maintain thorough documentation of reporting processes, data sources, and troubleshooting steps to ensure consistency, accuracy, and the ability to replicate results as needed.
Data Analysis – 30%

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across accounts receivable, collections, cash applications, credit, corrections, billing, and P2P, while conducting in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that guide business decisions.

Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes within OTC and P2P.

Present analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, including senior management.

Perform data mining tasks to identify trends, patterns, and insights within large datasets, utilizing basic statistical methods and financial modeling techniques to support data-driven decision-making.
Audit Support – 10%

Provide support to internal and external auditors during financial audits.
Training & Development – 5%

Provide technical training and support to junior staff members on reporting tools and processes.

What you need to succeed at XPO: At a minimum, you’ll need:

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Science, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university is required.

Minimum Required Experience:
o
5+ years of experience in a Finance & Accounting, Finance Operations and Shared Services domain
o
5+ years of experience in financial reporting, data analysis or a related field

Desirable Education/Experience:

Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Google Big Query, or other reporting and analytics tools

Demonstrated ability interpret large, complex data sets

Demonstrated capability in strategic results-oriented decisions, and ownership of results (positive or negative).

Experience in Financial Shared Services

Logistics or transportation experience
