What you’ll need to succeed as a Manager, Project Management (Technology) at XPO:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, related work, or military experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technology project management
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience
  • Strong portfolio reporting and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience leading projects across technologies (network, platform, application), real estate, and vendor management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with projects across multiple disciplines, including real estate and satellite sitting
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Ability to handle remote site openings

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead a team of project managers while overseeing the technology project portfolio.
  • Partner with leadership to align on full lifecycle delivery direction while maintaining responsibility for execution within the defined scope.
  • Be responsible for driving operational delivery excellence, translating strategy into execution and ensuring the successful execution of projects, and providing consolidated portfolio reporting to leadership.
  • Manage a limited number of projects while primarily focusing on team leadership, governance, and delivery performance.
  • Lead and develop Project Managers, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.
  • Oversee the technology project portfolio, including status reporting, risk identification, issue escalation, and delivery health.
  • Provide consolidated portfolio reporting and insights to technology and business leadership.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Directly manage a limited number of strategic or high-visibility technology projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and matrixed resources, including global team members.
  • Identify portfolio-level risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support capacity planning and resource allocation across the project portfolio.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational delivery practices
