As the Manager, QA Engineering, you’ll be responsible for Freight Optimizer (FO) quality and performance. You’ll ensure delivery against Quality Assurance department goals and objectives, including meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Create, implement and ensure compliance with testing standards
  • Develop KPIs to measure the QA success
  • Coordinate with Development, Product and Business to assess severity and prioritize reported issues
  • Works with Project Managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for QA related projects
  • Handles the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates
  • Provide guidance around automation strategies, working with the QA Automation Team and Application Development
  • Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance to plan
  • Help drive continuous improvement of Change Control process including modifications to policies and procedures
  • Review Requests For Change (RFCs) and approve or reject them based on their adherence to documented change management process requirements and standards

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of experience leading quality assurance cycles with a focus on testing large, multi-tiered systems consisting of multiple applications
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software testing solutions

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience with several different programming languages and test automation technologies
  • Agile Project Methodology expertise
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity, and precision both written and verbally
  • Able to handle an extremely fast pace while maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Maintains composure in the face of highly ambiguous environments and constant change
