As the Engineer, Technology Infrastructure, you’ll provide intermediate-level infrastructure technical engineering and support for the IT infrastructure including virtualization, operating systems and storage. This is a growth role, and you will work with technical, project, and stakeholder teams to ensure alignment of the architecture of IT applications with the underlying infrastructure to ensure optimal system availability and performance. You will closely collaborate with other Infrastructure and Application Development teams on the use and engineering of stated architectures.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Work with physical installations of storage and compute infrastructure when required
• Manage devices in a colocation facility when required
• Assist with storage and operating systems, including Pure and Rubrik as well as Windows, Linux and VMware
• Execute and improve processes and procedures for infrastructure automations, perform system upgrades and infrastructure tasks
• Troubleshoot and assist in triaging performance issues in a highly virtualized infrastructure
• Reporting KPIs to monitor and alert system health - conducting level 3 troubleshooting as needed
• Provide support for a variety of project related activities across multiple business units
• Produce scheduled reports to assist in cost recovery, capacity planning and consolidation
• Develop and maintain operational and systems documentation
• Support a global, 24X7, infrastructure environment

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 1 years of experience in IT, preferably in mid to large enterprise environments with VMware experience

It’d be great if you also have:

• 4 years’ IT experience, preferably in enterprise IT Infrastructure
• Knowledge of several of the following systems, technologies and concepts: VMware, storage systems, backup, hardware maintenance, general infrastructure operations
• Disaster Recovery processes and procedures
• Networking – load balancing, VLAN tagging, port channels, firewalls, routing
• Systems support for MS-SQL and Oracle databases in virtual systems
• Experience operating within IT Service Management (ITSM) and / or ITIL processes

Employees are paid within a salary range based on their experience, skill set, and market.
Colorado annual salary range: $73,976 to $92,470
New York annual salary range: $77,499 to $96,873
California annual salary range: $81,021 to $101,277
Washington State annual salary range: $77,499 to $96,873
Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set (e.g., if an applicant far exceeds the minimum and preferred qualifications for the role).  

In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, annual and long-term incentive awards, and an equity buyout award.
