What you’ll need to succeed as a Industrial Maintenance Technician II at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of related experience in an industrial maintenance role or equivalent experience in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical trades.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machinery.
  • Licensed journeyman or above
  • Ability to read a caliper, micrometer, and various other measuring instruments.
  • Ability to track preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Strong time management skills

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to weld and fabricate.
  • Knowledge of record and file keeping
  • Computer and Microsoft Office skills including: Excel, Outlook and Word

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex systems and equipment in one or more assigned areas.
  • Perform electrical work, run conduit, pull wire, make final connections in electrical panel, motors, disconnects etc.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems in all equipment.
  • Plan new installs, order supplies, parts, equipment and materials for projects and programs.
  • Respond to emergencies and callouts as required.
  • Coordinate and monitor work of Maintenance Specialists and Maintenance Technician 1 to ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned projects.
  • Operate specialized equipment and vehicles.
  • Demonstrate the Company’s core values and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

 

 

Industrial Maintenance Technician II are required to:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally
  • Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time in a facility that is not climate-controlled.
  • Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel.
